If sun spots, marks left behind after breakouts or patchy tone are making your skin look uneven, you're in good company. Pigmentation is one of the things we're asked about most, and one of the most satisfying to work on slowly and steadily. We combine brightening Circadia facials and comfortable Dermalux LED with good daily SPF to help your skin look brighter and more even over time.
If you find yourself reaching for concealer to cover dark patches, or your tone just never looks as even as you'd like, pigmentation is usually behind it. It's incredibly common, and the good news is it tends to respond well to patient, consistent care.
Most of the time it comes down to the sun. Years of daylight, even on grey days, build up as sun spots and patchy tone. Some pigmentation is hormonal (melasma), which can appear in pregnancy or with the pill and tends to be more stubborn. Some is left behind after spots or irritation, and some is simply in your genes. Whatever the cause, the look of pigmentation almost always fades best slowly and steadily, hand in hand with daily sun protection.
Your first visit starts with a consultation so we can look at what your skin is actually doing and keep everything gentle. Pigmentation can flare if it's pushed too hard, so we go carefully rather than reaching for the strongest thing on the shelf.
From there we use Circadia professional skincare with brightening blends and gentle exfoliation to help the look of dark spots fade and your tone look more even, and we'll often add Dermalux LED light therapy to leave skin looking fresher and healthier. The part that really makes the difference, though, is what happens at home: a simple routine and, above all, daily SPF, which protects the progress you make and helps stop new marks forming.
Our brightening facial, made for skin that's looking dull or uneven. We combine advanced exfoliation, LED light therapy and brightening skincare to help even out the look of your tone and leave skin looking fresher, lifted and more radiant.

A relaxing, drug-free Dermalux LED treatment that helps skin look healthier and more even. There's no heat and no downtime, just a double cleanse, LED light therapy and finishing skincare. It works best as a course alongside a brightening facial.
Best for: overall radiance, a more even-looking tone, recovery after other treatments and ongoing upkeep.
A bespoke facial built around how your skin is on the day, with exfoliation and relaxing facial massage to leave you looking fresher and more radiant. A lovely option for keeping skin glowing between brightening treatments.
Best for: dullness, general radiance, regular upkeep and anyone new to facials.
Pigmentation is patchy colour where skin has made a little extra melanin. Usually it's the sun, even on dull days here in the UK, and it builds up quietly over the years. It can also be hormonal, like melasma, or left behind after a breakout, and some of it is just genetics. The sun is the big one, which is why we go on about daily SPF.
It can help the look of it. With gentle exfoliation, brightening skincare and Dermalux LED, a course of facials can help dark spots look softer and your tone look more even. It's gradual rather than instant, and daily SPF is what holds onto the progress, so the two really go together.
Melasma is a hormonal kind of pigmentation, often set off by pregnancy or the pill. It's more stubborn than sun spots and it can come back, so it's worth a chat with your GP too. We keep things very gentle with it, because pushing too hard can make it worse rather than better.
Honestly, it's the most important thing you can do. Without daily SPF, existing spots darken and new ones creep in, and any progress from your facials gets undone. Pop a good broad-spectrum one on every morning and we'll help you find a routine that's easy to stick to.
We usually start people on the Peptide Lift + Glow, which uses brightening skincare and LED and works best over a short course. Every skin is different though, so your first visit begins with a consultation to make sure it's the right fit and to keep everything gentle.
Yes please, if anything is new, changing in size, shape or colour, itching or bleeding, see your GP about it. That's a medical check and not something a facial is for. Once anything like that has been looked at and ruled out, we're very happy to work on the look of general pigmentation.
